Who we are and what we do

Testwood Lakes Sailability is a newly formed sailability group which offers fully supervised accessible dingy sailing for people of all ages with any degree of disability on Testwood lake in Totton.

We welcome both individual members and groups from disabled workshops, care homes and schools etc

There is a wheelchair accessible pontoon fitted with hoists to lift sailors in and out of boats from their wheelchairs.

We sail Hansa Access Dinghies which are purposely designed for use by people with all levels of disability

Each boat will be sailed by a qualified skipper with opportunity for the disabled sailor to develop their abilities to a level appropriate to them

Personal Buoyancy jackets will be supplied to be worn at all times while on the water

A safety boat with qualified skipper and crew will be on hand at all times

We currently offer sailing every Monday and Thursday between 10am to 4pm from April till October each year. For up to date information please visit our Facebook page Testwood Lakes Sailability.

We have use of the aquativity centre on site which offers disabled accessible toilets and seating with disabled parking close by.
